Yes, I am Stefano, born on November 16, 1973, and originally from Varano de' Melegari, passionate about horses since I was a child.

How did I become passionate about country dancing?

Apart from the music I listen to, I was unaware of its existence in our area, except as seen in many Western films. Me, dance? I don't even think about it!!!!!!!

And yet... it all started in August 2008 when I went with a friend to the Ponderosa ranch in Parma for a Western riding show and a barbecue in the evening. During the evening itself, I attended a real party with many dances and finally country music. I immediately felt the desire to jump in and try it, it was fantastic.

However, it was only in March 2009 that I was able to find a course in Medesano, a few kilometers from my Valceno. From then on, every weekend I was on the dance floor, beating my heels at all the country evenings from Parma, Piacenza, Reggio Emilia, Modena, and Bologna.

From this passion, a group was born in our land, the VALCENO COUNTRY DANCE.

Stefano Civa has choreographed 84 dances, of which 23 have been co-choreographed. Their first published stepsheet on CopperKnob is Dj Tonight from July 2017, with their most recent stepsheet of Now I Know (fr) in December 2024.
