The step sheet says 1/4 turning V step and another 1/4 turning V step - not a V step in place on the second V step.

No they say 1/8 turning v steps for both. so both together make a 1/4 turn... at least that's what my step sheet says

OOPS! You are right (I should put my glasses on when I read the step sheets - My bad). I really like the dance and will be teaching it.
