** On July 14, 2024, I received a text to call my sister. It was a call no one ever wants to have. That day, my nephew, his wife, and their 3 month old baby were killed in a head on collision on their way home from a softball tournament.
The passings have devastated two families and entire community. Derrick and Shay were too young to be taken from this earth, and Skylar had just started her life. Derrick and Shay leave behind 5 other children.
This dance is my way of keeping their memory alive. It is also a reminder to live each day like you’re dying.
