The reason your demo looks so silly is not the fault of the dance. It's because you're attempting to waltz to a piece of music that is not a waltz. The song you chose is 6/8 time, not 3/4. Trying to transfer weight in time to eighth notes never works well. Show us your dance with a real waltz.
