The phrase you're calling a K Step is not the K Step I'm familiar with.
Yours is Step-touch Step-touch Back-touch Back-touch. Traces a backwards K if anything.
Usual phrase is Step-touch Back-touch Back-touch Step-touch. Traces a K.
Search You Tube and you'll find that one demonstrated.
I use this dance with my beginners but I don't present that phrase as a K Step.
