762-448-8367"Nothing is more beautiful than dancing in synchronicity."
--Lyra
The coolest thing I have ever seen is everyone moving to the beat, jumping in unison, stepping in time together, side to side, front to back, up and down, and that popping sound when everyone claps their hands together at the same time. How cool is that? Whether it is a synchronized dance performance, a line dance, a flash mob, a dance scene from your favorite movie or a jazz routine, it's all the same. You just want to get on the dance floor and move to the groove.
What is an awesome dance without an awesome song to go with the steps? There is nothing more I enjoy in the world than to choreograph a simple, fun and great dance and then create the music to complement the dance style and accentuate the dance steps; something everyone can learn to dance to and music everyone can enjoy. This is a very creative process. The choreography and the music should have the same feel. They should complement one another, move and flow together as one. This creates a personal connection between you, the song and the dance. You don't have to be a professional dancer. Just follow the steps and have fun.
As line dance has evolved, so has music. Line Dancing and Music can be any style or genre. A Line Dance, Shuffle, Slide, Country-Western, Latin, Ballroom, Hip Hop, Bop, Pop, Twist, Cha-Cha, Salsa, Boogie, Disco, Jazz, Rock, Alternative, 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, Electronic, R&B, Soul, and on and on and on.
Dancing Is Not Only My Gift, it's My Passion. It Lights Me On Fire. That's What It's All About, Doing What You Love To Do. It's that driving force to move your body in sync with the music that urges me to take Line Dancing To An Entirely Different Level. If you love to dance, like me you love to dance to anything and you love all kinds of music and all styles of dance.
"It's That Song, I Gotta Go Dance."
It's that burning heartspark flame you feel when you see a new dance move or routine or hear a dance song. You have to dance. You can't wait to get to the dance floor. Your body sways, your feet begin to step in time with the music, and your arms start to move. You are in Seventh Heaven.
With different styles of dance, different genres of music and everything in-between and beyond and maybe even something you have never even heard of, I Want To Create Something For Everyone. I just want to get everyone out on the dance floor with lots of cool dances and great songs. That is the joy of line dancing. That is what it's all about.
In The End, There Is Nothing More Rewarding Than Seeing Everyone Everywhere Run To The Dance Floor To Dance To The Song You Created For The Dance You Choreographed. This is, by far, the coolest thing I have ever done.
Lyra has choreographed 2 dances, of which none have been co-choreographed. Their first published stepsheet on CopperKnob is Wild Riders from October 2016, with their most recent stepsheet of Shake also in October 2016.
