I've loved this dance for 18 years. I don't understand why some groups insist on leaving out the second jazz box at the end. The second and third videos here both leave it out. I guess they can dance it anyway they want, but they shouldn't post it on a site with the original step sheet.

I like to do this dance to Anyway the Wind Blows by Brothers Phelps. Instead of 2 - 4 count Jazz boxes, I do 2 - 8 count Jazz boxes. I also do 1 restart and it works absolutely perfect to the music.

Only the first demo video does this dance as choreographed, all the others do a different variation....no two are the same lol.

I have apparently been doing this dance incorrectly for 35 years....it was taught to me with only one jazz box at the end. I will now attempt to correct this and will begin to teach it as it was choreographed. Hopefully other instructors will follow. I never knew who the choreographer was...the step sheet that I was given at that time was hand written and showed the choreographer as "Unknown". Technology has brought us so far! It is very important to respect the choreography!

Yes I was puzzled by the 1 or 2 Jazz Box options.

I have a Line Dance book from 1998 which includes Canadian Stomp and is different to the above. The above is the same version from 2008 by Michael Beck.
The 1998 version doesn't have vines - they are side tog side steps & only x2 back tap & claps then 1 jazz box. This is why there is so much confusion on the dance floor.

We do the two jazz boxes, as written here. And as of 2024, Jelly Roll's Need a Favor is a great alternative track!
