Begin again and enjoy! Although this dance is an “odd” count; it is choreographed to the music as well as the chorus. We’re going through some difficult and uncertain times right now-this is just a FUN song – as I tell my students in class “make it your own”; during the chorus it says to put you hands in your pocket—I want you to just have fun!!!

Kim: I really like your dance. As an instructor and choreographer I wanted to ask about a couple of issues I find with the dance. In Section One you have a 3/4 turn with hip bumps but you have labeled each turn as 1/2 then 1/4 and then 1/2 which equals 1 1/4 turns instead of 3/4. I think you mean 1/4 turn each. Also the tag is very tricky. Instead of changing wall 3 and adding a complicated tag, would you consider just finishing wall three just like the other walls and then just adding a 6 count tag. We found that we could simply add a left foot start shuffle forward, a right foot rock forward, and recover back on the left foot, and then a right shuffle back for a simple 6 count tag. It fits perfectly with the count of 44 counts for wall 3. Otherwise, a great dance!

Kim - Our group likes your dance, also. As a fellow instructor and choreographer, I do have a couple of issues with the step sheet. As mentioned by Gaylynn, the total turns in the second section are more than a 3/4 turn. The tag cannot be done as written and stay on the chorus. I noticed in your video that you seemed to leave out the kick, ball change. But when you taught the tag, you inserted it. If you leave out the kick, ball change and just do step, touch, step, step (take weight), everything works out well. We dance with 3 or 4 different groups and each group has a different way of addressing this. Can you please clarify this for us? Thank you and thank you for the dance. Stay on the floor.
