It was taught at the CWDI dance competition, Old Pueblo Country in Tucson Arizona in March 1999, to the Arizona Cactus Kickers. It was modified to the Crossover Kick line dance to allow people who cannot dance standing the ability to line dance sitting. Both people who are sitting and standing can do this dance together.
