I've always loved listening to a variety of music and trying different dances. Since getting married, I have had to balance the demands of 3 kids, a wife, home and work, but I still tried to do aerobics and weight training every once in a while in the evening. After retiring at age 65, I became obsessed with dancing: Jazzercise, Zumba, Line Dancing and Ballroom dancing. Dancing has always been important to us. My husband and I have been dancing since college and even took ballroom dancing workshops in Rhode Island. I wasn’t particularly interested in line dancing until after the pandemic ended and I went to H.O.T in Dallas. It suddenly dawned on me that I could learn various dance moves from step sheets or YouTube demonstrations, rather than needing private lessons or workshops.

Gradually I devoted more and more time to line dancing and now I teach line dancing classes 5 days a week with my husband by my side to serve as photographer for my line dancing social events. I didn't start choreographing until I participated in the dance selection voting process for the Texas Line Dance Jamboree "TX JAM".

Currently, my main focus is still teaching and I only choreograph when I feel a certain way about a certain music. I've had many different titles over the years: daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, IT engineer, data architect, line dance teacher, and now I have one more title: dance choreographer. For me, it is a wonderful life!
