Passionate line dancer in Norway! I started to dance late in life, but today I spend most of my spare time line dancing.
Has attended workshops in line dance choreography and instruction held by Cato Larsen, and dance regularly in his club Western Line Dancers.
Dance occasionally with other groups in Norway, like Raymond Sarljemijn's classes, and attend workshops with international choreographers and instructors as often as I can.
As a social dancer I appreciate good choreography.
My goal is to make dances built on basic craftsmanship: Movements flowing naturally; last steps well connected to the start of the dance, also before a restart; balanced turning both ways to avoid dizziness; and, of course, rhythm and timing that match the beats in the music.
With all this in the bottom: Musicality!
Because it’s all about showing the music through our dancing, with our own individual style, and enjoying it!
Nina Skyrud has choreographed 47 dances, of which 12 have been co-choreographed. Their first published stepsheet on CopperKnob is L For The Way You Look At Me from November 2016, with their most recent stepsheet of Guilty Pleasure in March 2024.
