MODIFIED SAILOR SHUFFLES
1&2Step left crossed behind right, step right to right side, step left to left side with heel lead - (*these are NOT regular sailor shuffles)

3&4Step right crossed behind left, step left to left side, step right to right side with heel lead

5&6Step left crossed behind right, step right to right side, step left to left side with heel lead

7&8Step right crossed behind left, step left to left side, step right to right side with flat foot

DOUBLE KICK, COASTER STEP, DOUBLE KICK, COASTER STEP
1-2Low kick left foot FORWARD (two times)

3&4Step left back, step right together & step left forward (COASTER STEP; NOT sailor shuffle)

5-6Low kick right foot FORWARD (two times)

Hi Janet, I noticed that the demos were not reflecting your step sheet very well. This happens with lots of dances, unfortunately. When I started doing this dance with a local group back in 2014, I did not refer to the step sheet...we just followed what everyone else was doing. I really like your updates to the step sheet that emphasize the details of certain moves. I plan to reteach this dance sometime soon, but I would really like to see a demo of exactly how your moves are done. Specifically, sailor step with heel lead, hip bumps with shoulders, and cross/unwind. Your descriptions are clear to me, and I am quite sure I can perform the moves as intended, however, it would be very helpful to be able to direct dancers to your video demo so they can see for themselves how the choreographer intended the moves to be performed. Thank you for this popular dance. Since it is nearly 10 years old now, I include it in our throwback dance list, but it feels new when paired with interesting new music.
